Andrey Yakunin


Andrey runs VIYM partnership’s private equity growth capital and real estate investment platforms with an overall responsibility for US$ 300+ million in AUM. Andrey heads the firm’s investment strategy, finance and investor relations functions. With over a decade in international hospitality sector, he successfully manages assets in a number of Russia’s leading hotel, logistics and multi-use RE projects. Prior to co-founding VIYM, Andrey headed the largest St. Petersburg hotel “Pribaltiyskaya” and opened the first and largest St. Petersburg indoor water park as part of the hotel's refurbishment program to reposition it as a world-class MICE facility, which was followed by an effective divestment through the sale to a reputable international investor, Wenaas Group. Prior to that, Andrey worked in various financial consultancy roles with strategic development, investment consultancy and tax planning responsibilities in such teams as Rocco Forte's New Hotel Group, MCD-Pannell Kerr Forster and Europe Management-Invest. Andrey is an Associate Professor of Economics at the St. Petersburg State University and a FCCA candidate. He holds a MA in Economics & Mathematics and PhD in Finance & Credit from the St. Petersburg State University, EMBA Global from London Business School and Columbia University GSB. He is fluent in Russian, English and German.

Yair Ziv


Yair has more than 20 years of cumulative international experience in mining, oil & gas, commodity trading and CRE investments and brings to VIYM his experience in capital markets and commercial property investment management both in OECD and emerging markets. From 1993 to 2003, he served as a Director in subsidiaries of Topland Group PLC, a major investment company in the UK commercial property with a portfolio valued at over GBP 2.5 billion. He also serves on the BoD and the CFO of Target Resources, a London AIM quoted diamond & gold mining company operating in Sierra Leone. He has graduated from the Tel Aviv University with a degree in Political Science in 1983, and after some further academic studies and a period in the Israeli Foreign Office became General Manager of Meridian Commodities, a group trading in bulk grains and foodstuffs. As such he acquired expertise in international finance and banking, as well as company administration. Yair is certified by the Dale Carnegie institute in Management and time control. He is fluent in English and Hebrew.

Fedor Lychagin


Director of VIYM Representative Office in Russia
Head of CRE and Growth Capital Investments

Fedor is responsible for project sourcing, management and operations as well as fundraising and investor relations functions. He has over 10 years of cumulative top-executive experience in private equity and industry, with a special expertise in hospitality, real estate development, agriculture, media & telecom. After graduating from the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Fedor worked as Deputy General Director at CC “Tehnosouz”. Since 1999 he held a position of General Director of Klenovaya Alleya Ltd managing the construction of Bermuda Triangle Entertainment Complex. In 2001 he was appointed to the position of Deputy Director for Economics and Finance at PC NPP “Radar MMS”, where he was engaged in financial, accounting and reporting systems management and controlling. In 2005 Fedor worked as Project Manager for Bars & Restaurants function development and earlier as Deputy Executive Director of St. Petersburg largest hotel “Pribaltiyskaya”. In 2006 he held a position of General Director of CC “Nikolskie Ryady”, an architectural monument and landmark property restoration project into a prime office space and the city's first Crowne Plaza hotel housing over 350 rooms. From December 2007 Fedor headed VIYM Moscow Investments Office and since January 2010 has been promoted to head all VIYM Representative Office Operations in Russia. Fedor is native Russian and fluent in English.

Victor Yakunin


Head of St. Petersburg Investment Office

Victor has more than 12 years of European and Russian market experience in industrial production, IT, mining and natural resources, logistics and real estate development. Prior to VIYM he worked with such international companies as Ernst & Young (CIS), Arthur Andersen and Gunvor (Geneva, Switzerland). In August 2007 Victor was appointed to a position of Deputy Head of Logistics and Infrastructure Investment Office at VIYM, in October 2008 was promoted to head VIYM Infrastructure Investment Office and to date heads St. Petersburg Investment Office.

He graduated from the St. Petersburg State University, Law Faculty, in 2001. A year after he took his Master's Degree in International Business Law (LLM) at the Central European University. Viktor is native Russian and fluent in English.

Pavel Arbonen


Head of Investments Department, St. Petersburg Investments Office

Pavel joined VIYM in July 2008 as Financial Analyst after a year with Nikolskiye Ryady project company where he worked as Economist on the reconstruction project of a St. Petersburg centrally located landmark property into a multifunctional complex of 65,000 sq. m. with a 350+ room Crowne Plaza hotel. In September 2008 he was promoted to a Senior Financial Analyst’s role at VIYM Infrastructure Investments Office where he was engaged in the project of AKM Logistics complex development of over 60,000 sq. m. In July 2009, Pavel was appointed to the position of Acting Head of Investment Department and since January 2010 he has been Head of Investment Department at VIYM Infrastructure Investments Office managing gold mining, oil & gas as well as logistics and Telecom project activities. Prior to that, he worked as Junior Economist at the State Committee of Monument protection. Pavel has a MS degree in Economics from St. Petersburg State University and certificates in planning and budget control courses, working and valuation analysis for commercial investment real estate from Moscow Business School as well as a PMI certificate. Pavel is native Russian and fluent in English.

Pavel Dmitriev


Head of Investments Department, Moscow Investments Office

Pavel works as Head of Investments Department of Moscow Investments Office and in this tenure is responsible for investments management. Before joining VIYM in April 2008, Pavel was a generalist investment banker with emphasis on execution of cross-border M&A oil & gas transactions active on both sell and buy side.

Pavel holds a BA in Finance from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation in Moscow and is a third-level CFA candidate. Pavel is native Russian and fluent in English.

Vyacheslav Ivanov


Head of Investment Department, Hotel Investments Office

Vyacheslav has more than a 14-year investment consulting and audit experience in IT & hospitality from MCD company on such top executive positions as Head of Commercial Real Estate Investment Consulting Department. In June 2008 he joined VIYM portfolio company CJSC Nikolskiye Ryady as Deputy General Director, from October 2008 was promoted to Development Manager position at VIYM Hotel Investments Office in St. Petersburg and heads investment department of VIYM Hotel Investments Office since January 2010 managing such projects as Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace St. Petersburg, Nikolskiye Ryady and Regional Hotel Chain. Vyacheslav has an MA degree in Economics & Management with honors and a PhD in Economics from the St. Petersburg University of Trade & Economics. He is a certified Commercial Investment Manager as well as certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and University of Stirling in Practical Auditing, Accounting and Finance. Vyacheslav has released over 50 published reports on CRE investments. He is native Russian and fluent in English.

Sergey Bashkov


Director of VIYM Legal & Compliance Department

Sergey’s vast legal & compliance responsibility at VIYM includes various forms of investment structuring and investment vehicle development.

Prior to joining VIYM, Sergey was Head of Legal Department of hotel “Pribaltiyskaya” (St. Petersburg), where his role gradually evolved to focus on the company’s investment activities. In 2006 Sergey was the Leading Legal Councilor in the sale of hotel “Pribaltiyskaya” to a reputable international investor, Wenaas Group, which is to date one of the largest hospitality transactions in Russia to top US $100 million. Sergey graduated from the St. Petersburg State University with an MA degree in Law, he is native Russian and fluent in English.

Irina Svinar


Chief Financial Officer (FCCA)

Irina joined VIYM team from Neva-Rus Private Equity Fund where she worked in the Financial Controller function and was thereafter promoted to the Vice CFO position responsible for M&A structuring, project management and fundraising as well as for operations of the Financial Department. Prior to her Private Equity experience she worked as Financial controller for hotel ”Kempinski” and for over 8 years as Senior Audit Consultant at Assurance and Business Advisory Services (ABAS) with PricewaterhouseCoopers in St. Petersburg. In 2001 Irina was qualified for ACCA membership. She also holds a MA degree with honors in Information Technology in Economics and Management from the St. Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economy. Irina is native Russian and fluent in English.

Irina Potashova


HR Director

Irina graduated from the St. Petersburg State University with two MA degrees in Psychology and Human Resources Management. In 2006 Irina received her additional qualification degree in Financial Management, Economy and Finance from the St. Petersburg State University.

From 1998 and prior to joining the VIYM team, Irina introduced and developed HRM functions at Happyland, Wimm-Bill-Dann, “Pyaterochka” regional project and “United Machine Building Plants” Special Steel Division.

In 2008 she was appointed to the position of HR Director at VIYM. Irina is native Russian and fluent in English.

Nadya Nesterova


Head of Investor Relations

Nadya joined VIYM in March 2009 and is responsible for Investor Relations, PR and Marketing Communications as well as industry relations and deal origination. Prior to VIYM, she served in investor relations function at Troika Capital Partners, an alternative investment team managing Special Situations, Private Equity and Venture Capital funds on behalf of third-party clients and Troika Dialog Group integrated investment bank with over USD 6 billion in AUM. From August 2003 to March 2008 Nadya was engaged in operations, back-office, investor relations, PR and marketing communication roles with Wermuth Asset Management GmbH, the exclusive investment adviser to the Greater Europe Funds with some USD 1 billion invested in diversified asset classes of Russia & CIS. Nadya holds an MA degree with highest honours in Linguistics & Intercultural Communication from the Tver State University, with post-graduate studies in Applied Information Science in Economics at the Tver State Technical University and an MBA Certificate of Business Studies (magna cum laude) from American Institute of Business and Economics. She is native Russian, fluent in English and speaks German.

Ihar Katusha


Deputy Head of Investor Relations

Ihar joined VIYM in June 2011 as Deputy Head of Investor Relations and is responsible for industry relations and deal origination, investor relations, PR and marketing communications. Prior to VIYM he served as Deputy Head of Alternative Market Development at the MICEX Department of New Markets as promoted from the position of Senior Issuer Relations Associate in charge of fundraising, IPO and SPO arrangement for SMEs active in innovative sectors. Before that, Ihar was Analyst with Sovintel (Golden Telecom), Key Account Manager at INECO, Sales Manager with Systema FinLeasing, Client Relations Manager at SLAVA Auto Service Center and an Intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has an MS in Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the Belarusian National Technical University, MA in International Relations from the Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs and MS in Economics from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. Ihar is native Belarusian and Russian, fluent in English and Norwegian, and speaks German.
